🔐 Fraud Prevention & Order Verification Policy

1. Scope & Purpose:
This policy is designed to protect AMULET RING SHOP and our customers from fraudulent transactions, unauthorized payments, and chargeback abuse. By completing checkout, you agree to comply with all verification requests if your order is flagged as high-risk.
2. High-Risk Order Identification:
Orders may be flagged for enhanced verification if one or more of the following apply:
- IP address country differs from billing or shipping country
- Shipping address belongs to a package forwarding service (e.g., PORSAY, Shipito, MyUS, Stackry, Forward2Me, Parcl, Reship)
- Use of prepaid, virtual, or high-risk cards
- Multiple orders placed in a short time
- Inconsistent or mismatched customer details
- First-time customer placing a high-value order
- Addresses linked to known fraud activity
3. Mandatory Verification Process:
If an order is flagged, we may request one or more of the following:
- Government-issued photo ID (matching billing name)
- Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, tax document)
- Card verification photo (only last 4 digits visible)
- Phone number verification
- Written authorization if cardholder name differs
Customers must complete verification within 48 hours.
Failure to comply will result in automatic order cancellation and full refund.
4. Package Forwarding & PO Box Addresses:
Orders shipped to package forwarding services or PO Boxes are subject to mandatory verification.
We do not ship to freight forwarders without validation of the end recipient.
5. High-Risk Region Monitoring:
We continuously monitor global fraud trends. Orders originating from or shipping to high-risk regions may require additional verification as a security measure.
6. Payment & Data Security:
High-risk payments remain in ‘authorized’ status until verification is complete. All verification documents are handled securely, encrypted, and deleted within 90 days after order completion.
🛑 Chargebacks & Fraud:
Unauthorized chargebacks will be disputed with full documentation, including order details, verification records, shipping confirmation, and this published policy.
🧾 Chargeback & Dispute Defense:
We may submit the following evidence:
- Order confirmation fraud analysis
- Verification documents
- Shipping and delivery records
- Email and communication logs
- This policy as proof of due diligence
📦 Product Availability & Order Finality:
Product availability may change without notice. We reserve the right to cancel orders if items become unavailable.
Orders successfully verified and delivered are considered final sales, except where required by law.
🔏 Data Privacy & Security:
Verification documents are handled securely, stored encrypted, and permanently deleted within 90 days after order completion or cancellation. Data is not shared with third parties except as required by law.
❌ Cancellation of Fraudulent Orders:
If an order is suspected or confirmed to be fraudulent:
- The order will be cancelled immediately
- A full refund will be issued
- No fees will apply
- The customer will be notified
- Repeat offenders may be banned
